My Teaching Work
I've been a published writer for over twenty years now and I greatly enjoy sharing what I know and am still discovering with new or emerging writers. I teach creative writing to both adults and children and greatly enjoy this work. I teach Start Writing for Children and Teens and Finish Your Children's Book courses at the Irish Writers Centre. For details of my current courses, see their website.
I also run Story Crew: Write, Draw, Create which provides writing clubs and creative workshops for children and writing classes, talks and workshops for adults who love to write for children.
For more details of Story Crew see the page.
Reviews of Sarah's Writing Classes
I loved Sarah Webb's writing class. She's incredibly generous with both her time and her abundant knowledge of children's books and publishing. She’s kind, funny and intuitive. Enagh, class member at the Irish Writers Centre
Sarah's writing course is the best thing that can happen to emerging writers. In a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere you are encouraged to step out of the shadows and share your work with others. Simone, class member at the Irish Writers Centre
I also host Writing Clubs for children of age 7+ and 10+ at the Lexicon Library, Dún Laoghaire. For details email: firstname.lastname@example.org
You can also book me to teach a writing class or course at your school, library or festival via my contact page.
Writing a novel is like driving a car at night. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way. EL Doctorow
