School and Festival Visits
School and library visits are one of the great joys and privileges of my job as a writer, and I love meeting young readers of all ages. If you’d like me to talk about writing and my books at your school or library please do contact me. I also give occasional workshops on writing and getting published for both adults and children. At certain times of the year I have to glue myself to the desk to finish a book I’m afraid, but otherwise I’d be delighted to meet you and your pupils.
I also visit schools and libraries in Ireland and Northern Ireland as part of the Writers in Schools scheme.
Teacher Comments on Previous School Visits
‘Thank you for your outstanding work last Thursday with Churchtown School. The pupils had a fabulous time and I truly feel they learned so much in such a fun and enjoyable way.’
Churchtown National School, Athy
‘I am a sixth class teacher in St. Andrew’s College and I met you last Friday in the Mermaid in Bray. The girls really enjoyed the talk, they raved about it all the way home. They thought you were hilarious, not to mention inspiring.’
St Andrew’s College, Blackrock
